Description
Jervis Lodge is a Regency house built around 1800. It features stucco walls with some joint marks, cambered openings, and stone sills, along with a small area of flintwork that has brick quoins and banding. The building has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with wide eaves and a moulded eaves band. The roof's complex form indicates that the first phase of construction was a symmetrical house with three windows. An east side crosswing was later added, and a full-height segmental bay replaced the east side of the original front, which is now the south elevation with two storeys and two windows on the ground floor and one window above. The windows are sashes set in reveals. The west elevation features a small window above the entrance, which is located on the north side. The doorcase includes a cornice, console brackets above panelled pilasters, panelled reveals, a decorative fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The other elevations are irregular and have undergone alterations. Inside, the house retains the original staircase and panelled doors within architraves.
