Description
Nos. 80 and 81 High Street are a mid-18th century house, now serving as a pair of shops. The building has grey mathematical tile headers. The roof is tiled, with brick stacks at each end, and a bracketed cornice. The three-storey facade has a regular three-window arrangement, with glazing bar sash windows. There are exceptions; two windows on the first floor are not original sashes, and are situated centrally and to the right. The central entrance has a six-panel door set within a Doric pilastered surround and entablature. A double shopfront, dating to the early 20th century and of a Regency style, features bowed windows and an inset glazed door on the left. A single shopfront, also from the early 20th century, is located on the right, with a glazed door.
