Description
Eden Lodge is a house built in the late 18th century and mid 19th century. The walls are made of brickwork featuring blue headers with flush red quoins, a first-floor band, rubbed flat arches, stone cills, and brick dentil eaves. Other walls are constructed using Flemish and Flemish Garden Wall bonds. The roof is tiled, double-piled, and half-hipped on the lower side and rear wings.
The west front elevation is symmetrical, featuring two storeys and two windows. The windows are sashes set in reveals, while the extension has casements. The doorway has a reeded architrave, panelled reveals, and a seven-panelled door, with three of the top panels glazed. This doorway is topped with a 20th-century canopy supported by metal posts. The rear elevation is similar, with a doorway that also features a reeded architrave, a moulded canopy, and a glazed door. Inside, there is an original staircase with panelled sides.
