Description
No 2 Sheep Street is an early 18th century cottage that stands two storeys high, with a basement and an attic. The building features a fairly high pitched, slightly swept tiled roof adorned with two hipped dormers. The eaves cornice is moulded and dentilled. On the ground floor, there is an oriel bow window to the left, while the other windows are sashes with glazing bars set in near-flush frames. The basement has arched windows. Access to the cottage is via four steps leading to a six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed, sheltered by a flat hood supported by cut, curved brackets. This cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 26 (even) Sheep Street, Nos 24 and 25 The Square, and Nos 2A, 2, and 4 The Spain.
