Description
The gazebo, located at the top of the garden behind Bramdean House, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick with Portland stone quoins and features an old plain tile roof. This square building is positioned at the end of a vista that extends from the rear door of the house. The front has a doorway with an 18th-century planked oak door, which is topped by a wrought iron lunette and a stone arch that includes a keystone and female masks on the springing stones. The sides of the gazebo are adorned with round-headed windows set in stone arches. The roof is hipped and includes a weatherboarded clock turret and an octagonal cupola, which is topped with a wrought iron weathervane.
