Description
65 High Street is a house that has been converted into an office. It features an early 19th-century front added to an earlier building. The exterior is stuccoed and includes two platbands above the first floor, a cornice, and a parapet on a slate roof. There is a central wooden box on the roof above the center of the building. The structure has three storeys and a two-window front with glazing bar sashes. Each first-floor window is adorned with iron balcony railings. The shop front, dating from the 19th century, has paired pilasters on the sides and a transom light above the entrance on the left. The side facing Watergate Lane displays an irregular facade made of red and blue brick in a chequer pattern. The entrance on the left features a pilastered surround, while to the right is a six-panelled door set in a half-columned surround topped with an open segmental pediment. Doric columns with triglyphs are positioned above the capitals.
