Description

Nos 171 and 172 High Street are a pair of houses, now functioning as shops, dating from the early 19th century. They feature a red mathematical tiled front with a wooden eaves cornice above a plain tiled roof. The buildings have one hipped dormer and end stacks, standing three storeys tall with attics. The front has a regular arrangement of two windows, with glazing bar sashes set in two-storey shallow splayed bays. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century shopfronts, each with inset glazed doors.
