Description

The stable, with an attached oast, dates to the 17th and 18th centuries. The timber frame is exposed along the north elevation, with brick nogging in the eastern section and elsewhere, boarded walls. Openings are present on the south elevation. The building has a long, narrow timber-framed structure with a half-hipped roof. The oasts are roofless, and are located at the western end of the stable, to the north. A pair of round oasts are connected to each other and to the stable via a low wall constructed of malmstone at its base and brickwork above, finished with a dentil eaves band. The stable appears to have originally served as a farmhouse and is included for group value.
