Description

This is an 18th-century barn located 50 meters north of Ovington Down Farmhouse. It features a timber-frame structure with side walls made of rubble flint and brick dressing, and weatherboarded ends. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and is half hipped. The barn has eight bays and includes an aisle, with a canopy porch on one side and a gabled porch in the second bay from the eastern end. Inside, the barn has a queen-post strut roof, with the western five bays on a lower level supported by posts on old brick piers.
