Description
Ovington Down Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century and 19th century. It features a combination of brick and rubble flint with brick dressings on the sides and an addition, topped with an old plain tile roof. The building has three bays and is two storeys high. There is a single storey brick porch from the 19th century, which has corner pilasters, a small round-headed window, and a lead flat roof with a parapet. On either side of the porch are 16-pane sash windows with rendered arches. Above, there are three wide 12-pane sash windows. The roof is hipped and double-piled, with a central valley and rendered brick stacks on the hips. To the left, there is a 19th century 1½ storey lower extension with a hipped roof made of flint, featuring tripartite windows on each floor.
