Description
Galley Hill Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with an exterior that reflects early 18th-century features. The walls are made of ashlar malmstone, accented with brick quoins, a first-floor band, and a plinth. The roof is hipped and tiled. The southeast elevation has two storeys and three windows, while there is a single-storeyed wing on the west side that has one window. The windows are casements. There is a plain doorway, and another doorway has been modified to serve as a window; there is also a doorway in the wing. The northeast elevation is similar and features a stone plaque inscribed with "HIFA 1710." Inside, a 17th-century fireplace and old beams indicate that the house may have originally been timber-framed.
