Description

Old Thatch is a house, originally two dwellings, dating back to the 17th century, with alterations in the late 18th century. The front wall is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, distinguished by blue headers, resting on a plinth of ashlar malmstone. The north side is boarded, and the west gable displays an exposed timber frame, bricknogged. The roof is thatched, with a half-hip at the west end and a hip at the east, and includes eyebrow dormers. The south front, which faces the street, has one storey and an attic, with three windows above five. It features casements and a plain doorway; a former doorway has been converted into a window.
