Description

Hyde Cottage is a house built in two phases during the early and mid 19th century. The walls are made of coursed knapped flint, featuring quoins and flat arches of alternating red brick and blue headers. It has a hipped slate roof. The south front shows the older west side, which was once symmetrical with two storeys and two windows, while the taller east side also has two storeys and two windows. The windows are casements. Above the central doorway, there is an oval panel that has been filled in. The east side features a 20th-century Georgian doorway, which includes a cornice on brackets and a panelled door.
