Description

Hockley Cottage is an early 17th-century house, originally two dwellings. It features an 18th-century west extension and recladding of the ground floor. The upper floor retains an exposed timber frame with painted brick infill. The lower walls are of painted brickwork, with some malmstone at the rear, and the roof is thatched. The south front presents as two storeys with an irregular arrangement of four windows. These windows are a mix of casements of varying sizes and one sash window. There is a plain doorway.
