Description

Nos 3, 4 and 5 form an 18th-century cottage row situated on Southover High Street in Lewes. The ground floor is half-timbered with grey headers and red brick dressings, while the first floor is tilehung. The roof is tiled, hipped to the left, with ridge stacks positioned on the hip to the left and to the right of the centre. The building is two storeys high and has an irregular fenestration pattern with four windows on the first floor and five on the ground floor. Most of the windows are glazing bar sashes, except for the casement window second from the right on the first floor. A 19th-century shopfront is located on the ground floor, nearly at the left end. Boarded doors are present to the right, in the centre, and to the left end. The first floor is jettied out over the left-end door.
