Description

Upper Bargeham is a farmhouse located on the Downs, accessed via a nearly two-mile long drive from Arundel Road. The south end of the building dates back to the 17th century or earlier and is timber-framed, while the north end is an addition from the 18th or 19th century. The exterior is faced with flints, featuring red brick dressings and quoins, and it has a tiled roof. The farmhouse has casement windows and a nearly central projection that was once a porch but is now blocked from the outside. It is two storeys high with five windows. Additionally, a late 19th-century L-wing has been added to the southeast.
