Description
The Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, which was enlarged in the late 19th or early 20th century and has undergone significant alterations. It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings, and features render and tile-hanging at the rear, topped with an asbestos slate roof. The building has two storeys over a basement with an attic. The original structure consists of a four-window range facing east, which has been extended to form an L-shape by the addition of a north wing that runs eastwards. The entrance features a segmental arch and is located in a gabled porch that dates from the 19th or early 20th century, with a panelled door of earlier origin. Most windows are segmental-arched, except for one located in a single-storey gabled extension to the south. The farmhouse also includes a storey band, a canted bay on the north wing, two gabled dormers, and ridge stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
