Description

The gate piers and gate to Stanmer Church, likely built around 1838, are made of flint with stone dressings, while the gate itself is constructed of cast iron. The piers are square in shape and appear to have pyramidal caps, although these are largely covered by ivy. The gate features cusped arcading and brattishing. This structure is included for its group value with the church.
