Description
1 and 2 Stanmer Park are semi-detached houses dating from the mid-18th century, which were restored in the mid-20th century. They are constructed of flint with brick dressings and have a tiled roof. The houses are two storeys high and each features two windows. The entrances are flat-arched and set within 20th-century porches that have hipped roofs. The sides have red-brick quoins, while the ground floor windows are segmental-arched and the first-floor windows are flat-arched, both with red brick dressings and horizontal sliding sashes. The houses have a hipped roof, a central stack, and a side stack on No. 1. The interior has not been inspected. Most houses in Stanmer Park were heavily damaged during military occupation in the Second World War and were restored after Brighton Corporation acquired the estate in 1947.
