Description

LAVANT RAUGHMERE DRIVE SU 80 NE MID LAVANT

13/341A Raughmere Farm, the farm buildings to the north of the farmhouse. (Previously listed as being 40 metres north of the farmhouse) 28.11.80 - II

These comprise six buildings, of which four form a courtyard. All are C19 with tiled roofs. The two main buildings form the east and west sides of the court- yard. The west side is a large barn. Red brick. Two hipped projections on east side, formerly the waggon entrances. A large modern addition has been made on that side. The east side was formerly stables. Building of two storeyed height. Partly red brick, partly flints, partly tile hung. The south side is a single storeyed building faced with weatherboarding, of which the roof has been removed. The north side is a one storeyed stable of red brick. The two buildings to the east are open cattle or cart sheds, the south one faced with flints, the north one with weatherboarding with wooden columns forming the arcading.
