Description
Hornton Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has a roof rebuilt in 1958 after a fire. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill and a plain tile roof. The cottage has three bays and a smoke bay, and it is two stories tall with an outshot at each end. There is a 20th-century door located in the smoke bay to the left of the center. The windows consist of a variety of 20th-century one and two-light leaded steel casements. The roof is hipped and has a large 17th-century ridge stack with three flues positioned above the door, along with projecting stacks on the hips.
