Description
There are four tombchests located in St Michael's churchyard, south of the south porch. These tombchests are dedicated to Colonel Hockley and Mrs. Hockley, as well as to William Knight, who died in 1762, and Griffin Crouch, who died in 1818. The tombchests date from the 18th and 19th centuries and are made of dressed stone. Two of the tombchests, which are located south of the porch, are dedicated to Colonel and Mrs. Hockley, with one being much lower than the other and dating from the late 18th century. Further south, there is a tombchest from 1762 for William Knight and another from 1818 for Griffin Crouch.
