Description
Golds House is a house built in the mid-18th century, with early and mid-19th century and around 1900 alterations. The walls are made of ironstone with galletted joints, featuring brick quoins, cambered arches, a first-floor band, and a stepped plinth. There is some tile-hanging on the first floor at the ends of the rear and north wings. The roof is tiled and hipped on the main block, with hipped and half-hipped extensions, and a section with a catslide, along with two hipped dormers. The north-west front has two storeys and an attic, with four windows that include casements, some in widened openings. A mid-19th century Tudor porch features a gable, an arched doorway, and a six-panelled door, two of which are glazed. The rear elevations are more complex, with a staircase projection and irregular wings to the south-east from the last period of construction.
