Description
Segars Farm House is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century, with an 18th-century encasement and 20th-century alterations. It has a timber-frame core that is encased in brick, topped with an old plain tile roof. The building consists of three bays, with a wing extending to the rear on the right, which was developed into a farm range in the 19th century. It is two storeys high.
The front features a 20th-century door that is approximately central, flanked by 20th-century casement windows on each side. Above, there are three 2-light casements, and to the left, a 3-light casement. On the right side, there is a 19th-century 3-light casement on each floor. The roof is steeply hipped to the left and has been shortened by half a bay on the right, where an outshot roof has been added. There is a projecting stack at the left end and a large ridge stack located to the right of centre.
