Description
The lodge to Arundel Park, located 100 yards east of London Road, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of nodular flint with galleting and features Pulborough stone dressings. The building has a hipped slate roof and yellow brick chimneys, standing two storeys tall. The south elevation includes two sets of double-hung sash windows without glazing bars, set within 4-centred arches. On the west elevation, there is a door with a 4-centred arch, which is sheltered by a gabled wooden porch that has a decorated bargeboard and lattice work front. Above the porch, there is one casement window. To the north, there is a one-storey extension that has three double-hung sash windows and three doors, two of which are planked and one is modern. The property is enclosed by two walls; one extends north and the other extends west before turning south, both made of nodular flint with Pulborough stone coping and piers.
