Description

This is a small, 17th-century, three-bay barn located at Causeway Farm Dairy. It features aisles on all four sides created by a low, hipped roof with tiled covering. A hipped and gabled porch is situated on the northeast face. The walls are constructed of galleted malmstone with dressings of narrow brick, including quoins, upright strips, coping to the plinth, and surrounds for slit windows, some of which are now blocked. Some flints are visible in the plinth. The front of the barn has been limewashed.

Inside the barn are four arch-braced corner posts, tie-beams with curved angle braces, and two heavy, twisted beams above the porch opening. Brick divisions define the aisles. A five-light window, likely added later, is in the back wall. There are doors at each end of the barn.
