Description

Baybridge Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, possibly with earlier origins. It is constructed of rubble flint and brick walls with brick dressings, and has an old plain tile roof. The building is five bays wide by two bays deep, and two storeys high. A 18th-century planked door is set within a solid frame at the right end, and another is located inside the left bay, both now sheltered by 20th-century gabled porches. On the ground floor are three 19th-century segmental-headed two-light casement windows. There is also a single casement window, and two blocked doorways, positioned near the present doors. On the first floor, a 18th-century two-light leaded casement window is found on the left side, while the remaining bays feature three 19th-century two-light casement windows and a single light window above the right-hand door. The roof is hipped and incorporates a large ridge stack located above the brick quoins to the right of the centre.
