Description

This is a pair of cottages located on Sun Street in Lewes. They date from the 18th century and are constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof. A large central chimney stack anchors the building, and full-width weather-boarded dormers provide attic access. The cottages are two storeys high with attics, featuring a four-window pattern. Each cottage has sliding sash windows and doorways with half-glazed doors situated beneath the first-floor windows. The buildings are listed for their contribution to the surrounding streetscape and wider group value.
