Description

The bridge over the River Rother, built in 1826, is constructed of ashlar and features two wide segmental arches with a parapet. On the upstream side of the parapet, there is a stone panel depicting clasped hands along with the words "Midhurst and Easebourne." In 1912, one of the arches was widened by adding another arch outside and above the original. The bridge is now largely obscured by a separate pedestrian bridge that has been cantilevered out on the northwest side.
