Description
This is a barn located to the northeast of Bushyheath Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring flush quoins and plain gables topped with a stone slated roof. The barn is two storeys high and consists of five bays. The central bay has a segmental arched cart opening with a quoined surround, although this archway is now blocked and has a 20th-century door and window inserted. The first floor includes taking-in doors at the end bays, with the door on the east end being enlarged. There are three additional doorways with quoined surrounds and massive lintels, as well as an inserted opening to the west of the cart arch. Inside, the barn has a double purlin roof supported by king post trusses.
