Description

Booseley Grange is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed stone with block dressings and has a tiled roof. The building has an L-shaped plan with butted ranges and additional sections, featuring stone ridge and end stacks.

The entrance front is set back and has two bays, standing two stories high. To the left, there is a lean-to, while to the right, a butted projecting gabled wing with a verge parapet extends out. The entrance area includes a pair of windows on both the ground and first floors to the left, and a sash window (one now a fixed light) along with a small light to the right. The apex of the projecting wing has paired lights.

The entrance features a boarded door with a hood supported by corbels, and an inverted low-relief blank coat of arms on the lintel. This door is accessed by steps leading to a raised yard, which is enclosed by stone piers approximately 2.5 meters high, with moulded strings and a surbase topped with ball finials. There is a blocked 17th-century door on the return of the projecting wing, and the rear of the entrance range has four two-light and one three-light mullioned windows.
