Description

The Bull’s Head is a public house with three attached cottages, dating from the late 18th century and modified in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed, squared buff sandstone rubble, with a roof of Kerridge stone slate coated in green. It has five stone chimneys. The public house occupies the right-hand side and presents a symmetrical three-bay, two-storey facade. This section features two-light casement windows under plain stone lintels at each end, and a central entrance within a rectangular stone doorcase. To the left are three two-storey, two-unit cottages. These cottages have 20th-century wooden casement windows set within rough stone surrounds on the first two storeys. Above are blocked two-light windows with square-sectioned stone mullions. Each cottage has a door under a plain stone lintel.
