Description

Reed Bridge is a bridge over Todd Brook, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed, squared, buff sandstone rubble. The bridge features a segmental arch supported by low piers, with a projecting rubble course above. It has a plain parapet and a flat coping that extends into short wing walls. The bridge was likely built by the Macclesfield-Whaley Bridge turnpike trust in 1770 and is very similar in design to Rainow Bridge.
