Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, constructed from coursed limestone with ashlar sandstone dressings and featuring a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with two on the ground floor and one set back on the right. The windows are double-chamfered mullioned types with rectangular-pane leaded lights. There is a near-central door with a plain stone lintel. To the left, there is a renewed three-light window, and three two-light windows are located on the first floor. The right side has an ashlar end stack, a ridge stack positioned to the right of the door, and another end stack on the party wall to the left. At the rear, there are two-light mullioned windows of chamfered and square-faced types, suggesting that the building underwent two phases of construction. The interior has not been inspected.
