Description

The iron railings and gate at Rutland House were constructed in the early 19th century. They feature ironwork set on an ashlar plinth across the front of Rutland House, with a central gate. The design includes stout bars topped with bold spear finials, connected by plain rails to square openwork standards that have side panels adorned with rings. The gateway matches this style, with the gate itself having mid-rails that are also joined by rings.
