Description

Probably a former outbuilding to The Cottage, now a shop, Coulsden Cottage dates to the 18th century and has been altered since. It is constructed of coursed and rubble limestone with a stone slate roof. The exterior presents a single-storey, two-window front. A doorway to the left has a 20th-century door beneath a dressed lintel. The left window is a 16-pane casement with a stone sill and lintel, and the right window is a casement with glazing bars. At the rear are a stable door with a boarded hatch above, various casements, and a small stone-slated lean-to. A blocked doorway is located far to the left. Three stone corbels are visible at the eaves. The interior has not been inspected. The building forms a group of vernacular buildings alongside The Cottage.
