Description

Brough Bridge is a bridge built in 1824. It is constructed from coursed, squared, rockfaced gritstone with ashlar dressings. The bridge features two segmental arches with voussoirs and has string bands at the springing of the arches and at road level. There are semi-circular cutwaters on each side, which include datestones marking the year 1824. The bridge has ashlar parapet walls with polygonal end piers and smooth ashlar under the arches.
