Description
Brough House is an early 19th-century house constructed of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. It features stone slate roofs with stone ridge tiles and stone gable end stacks. The house is two storeys tall and has an L-shaped plan. The south elevation consists of three bays, highlighted by raised angle quoins. The central doorway is framed by a stone surround, complete with a keystone and a flat bracketed hood. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sash windows set in stone surrounds, with three similar windows located above on the upper floor.
