Description

The range of outbuildings to the west of Stanton Hall dates from the early 19th century, with later additions. Constructed from coursed squared gritstone, the buildings feature gritstone dressings and quoins. The roofs are a mix of graduated slate and plain tiles, with stone-coped gables and a stone gable end stack on the northern range. The structure is two storeys tall, with single-storey additions. The northern range has five bays, the western range has four bays, and the eastern and south-eastern ranges have three bays each.

The north range features a central flush quoined doorcase, flanked by uneven glazing bar sashes in flush surrounds. To the east, there is a flush doorcase and a blocked flush window beyond it. To the west, a line of quoins leads to a large segmental-headed arch with an adjoining flush quoined doorcase. Above this, there are two flush hayloft openings to the east and three horizontal sliding sashes to the west in flush openings. Above the central doorcase, there is a re-used early 18th-century cartouche.

The western range consists of four segmental-headed arches with double plank doors, while the eastern range features three plain sashes in flush surrounds, a flush doorcase to the north, and a re-used stone plaque between the southern windows inscribed with the words, "Many a day in labour and sorrow I have spent but now I find no riches like content, SDA 1751." The south-eastern range has a flush doorcase to the east and three cambered arches to the south with double doors. This building is included for its group value only.
