Description
The cross shaft, located approximately 15 yards south of the south porch of the Church of the Holy Cross, is a Grade I listed structure dating from the 10th century. It is made of stone and has an oblong section that tapers towards the top, standing at about 7 feet high. The north, south, and east sides feature curved interlace decoration along with circular or spiral designs. The shaft is heavily weathered, and the top of the cross is damaged.
