Description
The lamp column located to the northeast of Hathersage Farmhouse is a cast iron ornamental structure dating from 1914. It features a circular stone base with a squared platform that supports the ornamental column. The column has a wide fluted base and a slender shaft, topped with three lamps, although one lamp is now missing. The lamps are held in place by ornamental scroll brackets. A plaque at the base commemorates the erection of the column in memory of Colonel A J Shuttleworth, JP, of Hathersage Hall. This lamp column is listed for its group value only.
