Description
Hathersage Farmhouse is a former farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with quoins, featuring plain gables and stone slates. The south elevation has two storeys and three bays, which originally had 2-light flush mullioned windows. Currently, there is one plain sash window, while the other openings have 19th-century casements. One bay has had its mullions restored. The off-centre doorway has massive jambs and a lintel. The west bay, which was formerly an outbuilding, now includes a large quoined doorway and a quoined surround for an overloft doorway, which has been fitted with a casement window. The north elevation retains a mullioned and transomed stair window.
