Description

Glutton Bridge is an early 19th-century road bridge located in Glutton Dale, within the parish of Hartington Middie Quarter. The bridge is constructed of gritstone ashlar and features a single span shallow arch that curves outward at each end, ending in square piers. It has a segmental voussoired arch with a thick roll string-course above. The bridge is finished with plain parapets that have square section copings. It crosses the Staffordshire border.
