Description
Dowal Hall Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and a slate roof. It features stone gable end stacks and stone coped gables with plain kneelers. The building has three storeys and three bays, with a central doorcase that has a quoin surround. The entrance includes a glazed and panelled door topped by a rectangular fanlight with diagonal tracery, and is sheltered by a bracketed flat stone hood. On either side of the door, there are three-light flush mullion windows. Above the door, there are two similar windows and a 2-light flush mullion window. The uppermost level features two three-light and one two-light mullion windows, all of which are shallower than those below. The fenestration includes a mix of 19th and 20th-century casements.
