Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone with ashlar sandstone dressings and has a concrete tile roof. The building is two storeys high and features a single bay that adjoins Yew Tree House, sharing the same roof line. At the rear, there is a lean-to structure.
The exterior includes large quoins on the left side, a four-panel door set in a raised-edge architrave to the right of a three-light mullioned window, which also has a matching architrave. The window contains eight-pane casements and a central four-over-four sash. On the first floor, there are paired six-over-six sashes in a raised-edge architrave with a stone centre mullion. The eaves band and cornice continue from Yew Tree House. The gable copings are made of ashlar, and there is a brick end stack on the left side.
The left return of the building shows blocked window openings, indicating that it was once a two-storey-and-attic house. The interior has not been inspected.
