Description
35, 36, and 37 North Church Street is a terrace of three houses built in the late 18th century. The houses are constructed of limestone rubble with sandstone dressings and feature a stone slate roof.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a four-window range. Notable architectural details include quoins, broad ashlar door surrounds, plain window surrounds with projecting sills, and deep lintels. The two houses on the left create a symmetrical pair, with a central rear-passage opening situated between the doorways. The left end cottage has a 20th-century door and casements. Number 36 to the right features a door with six flush panels and 8/8 sash windows on each floor to the right. The right end house mirrors the design of Number 36. There is a dressed stone end stack on the right, another stack on the ridge to the right of Number 36, and a limestone blockwork end stack on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
