Description

These are a pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. They are built of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and quoins. The roofs are covered in stone slate, with stone gable ends and a central ridge stack. The gables have stone copings with moulded kneelers.

Each house is two storeys high and two bays wide. The house to the east has a central doorcase featuring a flush quoined surround and a keystone above the lintel, with a 20th-century glazed door. The windows on either side of the doorcase are 2-light flush mullion windows with 20th-century single-pane casements. Above these are two similar windows. The western house has a similar appearance, with a central quoined doorcase featuring a plain lintel and a panelled door. The 2-light windows to the sides and above have plain sashes or fixed lights.
