Description
Harthill Lodge is a lodge cottage dating from the early 19th century, with a later addition to the rear. It is built from coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins. The stone slate roof features overhanging eaves and a central ridge stack with twin stone diamonds. The building has two bays and is a single storey with a double range plan, the rear range being in a Tudor style.
The central entrance features an ovolo moulded, four-centred arched doorcase with a bracketed porch roof and a studded wooden door. On either side of the door, there are single light cavetto moulded windows with pointed tops and incised spandrels, which have diamond pattern metal casements. The east gable wall has a similar triple window, and there is a similar two-light window on the south side of the rear range.
