Description

Nether Padley Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is built from regularly coursed squared gritstone on a shallow plinth, featuring coped gables, a plain eaves band, and ashlar ridge stacks, with the stack at the northwest end being wider than the one at the southeast. The roof is covered with Welsh and stone slates. The building has an 'L' plan, with a main range that is double pile and a lower pitched roof range to the northeast.

The southwest elevation has three storeys and three bays, with 2-light flush mullioned windows that contain 19th-century glazing bar sashes. Plain band courses connect the cills to the ground and first floor openings. The southeast elevation, which faces the street, features a moulded doorcase with a semi-circular arched head and a shallow bracketed flat hood above. There is a six-panelled door with a semi-circular fanlight above.
