Description

Grindleford Bridge is a road bridge located in the parish of Nether Padley, dating from the late 17th century and late 18th century. It features a triple-arched design made of ashlar gritstone. On the north side, there are semi-circular arches with voussoirs, rounded cutwaters topped with domed caps, and a broad band course above. The parapet wall has rounded copings and ends with octagonal piers. The south side displays stepped arches and pointed cutwaters, along with a cambered parapet. Grindleford Bridge is also recognized as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
